Pasquale Buontempo, AKA “Bassick”, started his quiet journey into Electronic Dance Music at an early age. Jamming the likes of Prodigy, Loards of Acid, Neophyte and Omar Santana, he knew where his love in music resided. At 18 he bought his first set of turntables a day after graduating from highschool. Learning the ways of the music through just about every EDM genre, the warm to heavy basslines of jungle caught his ears attention and became his focus. Bassick began spinning at parties and on internet radio stations including; the Austin based “Every Day Junglist” and the distinguished “DNB TV”.
In 2008 Bassick was introduced to Dubstep and the Dub Commission crew which quickly became his second family, and Dubstep, his passion. Since then he has been spreading music at bars and warehouses from Texas to Oklahoma and slammin dancefloors at clubs such as Lizard Lounge and Afterlife. Also holding a monthly residency along with Dub Commission at the Absinthe Lounge. Currently, Bassick has been working on producing his own dubstep. Ranging from deep melodic tunes to dancefloor moving jams, he plans to drop his love for dubstep on the masses in 2011. Keep an ear to the ground.
